Wise Launches Innovative Hyderabad Hub: A New Era of Opportunity

Wise, the renowned money transfer giant, has been operational in India since 2013 and currently facilitates approximately 10% of all international funds sent to the country. This year, Wise is set to enhance its presence significantly by launching a new full-stack hub in Hyderabad, which will create numerous job opportunities and strengthen its service offerings for Indian businesses.

The upcoming hub in Hyderabad will employ hundreds of professionals over the next few years. It will initially focus on recruiting core regional teams specializing in product development, engineering, and customer servicing operations. Smrithi Ravi, who has been leading Wise’s engineering efforts in Singapore for the past six years, will return to India to head this pivotal hub.

New Features for Indian Businesses

In conjunction with the hub’s opening, Wise is introducing an international account tailored specifically for Indian businesses. This account will enable companies to:

  • Receive payments from abroad in multiple currencies, including USD, GBP, EUR, AUD, and SGD.
  • Access international account details easily, streamlining their payment processes.

Smrithi Ravi expressed her enthusiasm about the move, stating, “India’s tech talent ecosystem is world-class, and I’m excited to return home to lead Wise’s newest full-stack hub in Hyderabad.” She emphasized that the teams in Hyderabad will be instrumental in enhancing Wise’s global infrastructure and driving product development.
