Tokio Marine HCC International Welcomes Thibaud Hervy as New CEO: A Strategic Leadership Move

In a significant leadership change, Tokio Marine HCC International, a subsidiary of the renowned Tokio Marine HCC, has appointed Thibaud Hervy as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Simon Button as Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO). These pivotal appointments are effective immediately, pending regulatory approval.

Leadership Transition at Tokio Marine HCC International

Thibaud Hervy takes over the CEO position following his successful tenure as CUO of Specialty Lines. Hervy has been with the company since 1999, beginning his career as an underwriter in HCC Global’s Financial Lines team. Over the years, he has progressed through various senior roles, including serving as Managing Director of HCC Global and CUO of TMHCCI since 2014. His expertise has been vital in developing the company’s underwriting and distribution strategies on a global scale.

Simon Button’s New Role as CUO

Simon Button, previously the CUO for the London Market, assumes the role of CUO at TMHCCI. Button has been part of the organization since 2000 and has held numerous leadership positions across the Property, Marine, and Energy divisions. In his new capacity, he will play a crucial role in refining TMHCCI’s underwriting strategies as the company expands its product offerings.

Barry Cook’s Legacy and New Role

Barry Cook, the former CEO of TMHCCI, has transitioned to the position of Deputy CEO at TMHCC. With over two decades of leadership, Cook leaves behind a remarkable legacy of growth, transforming the company into a $2.8 billion operation within the London Market. His new role will involve supporting the broader group.
