The legal confrontation between Epic Games and Apple has been a lengthy saga, primarily centered around the 30% commission fees imposed by Apple on developers through its iOS App Store. In a landmark ruling in 2021, a judge determined that Apple could not prevent developers from directing customers to purchase digital goods outside of its ecosystem. However, in a recent filing, Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers expressed frustration over Apple’s alleged non-compliance with her previous ruling.

Fortnite’s Return to the iOS App Store

As a result of this victory, Epic Games is set to bring back its flagship game, Fortnite, to the iOS App Store. The company aims to encourage users to buy digital items directly through Epic, offering them better pricing options.

New Webshop Feature for Developers

With the introduction of the new webshop feature on the Epic Games Store, developers can now more easily set up their own sales platforms. This change is expected to significantly benefit the gaming community by providing:
