Personalized Topic Interests

To help users connect better, Threads now allows users to add up to 10 interests to their profiles. By selecting these topics, users can discover related posts, making it easier to engage with like-minded individuals. This feature was recently tested and is rolling out more broadly today.

Enhanced Interaction Controls

Another significant update allows users to manage interactions on their posts. Users can now restrict replies and quotes to only their followers or specific individuals. This builds on the quote control feature introduced in November 2024.

Custom Feed Options

Threads is also enhancing user experience by allowing users to shuffle the order of their custom feeds. Users can now set a default custom feed that displays when they first open the app, responding to user requests for more personalized content delivery.

In addition to these features, Threads is launching a redesigned video player equipped with:
