Flatt’s Career Journey
Prior to this promotion, Flatt served as the head of AIG North America alternative channels. His extensive career includes:
- Joining AIG in 2017 after a successful tenure at Marsh McLennan for over 15 years.
- Holding senior underwriting roles at GE Capital and ITT Hartford earlier in his career.

Successor and Leadership Changes at AIG
Flatt succeeds Christopher Schaper, who has transitioned to the position of chief risk officer of AIG as of November 2024. In addition to Flatt’s promotion, Erin Fry has been elevated to head of AIG North America alternative channels, reporting to Don Bailey, executive vice president and CEO of North America Insurance at AIG.
